Ingredients

1 1/4 c. sifted flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
2/3 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. mashed bananas
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. quick-cooking oats
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
Preparation

Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.
Cream shortening and sugar; beat in eggs, one at a time, then bananas and vanilla.
Add sifted dry ingredients and beat until combined. Stir in oats and chocolate.
Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake in 375\u00b0 oven 8 to 10 minutes.
