Brown Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. cornmeal
    1/2 c. flour
    1 c. milk
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. molasses
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients together; place in a greased coffee can 2/3 full.
    Seal top with a thickness of foil or waxed paper; seal tightly with string.
    Steam for 4 hours.
    Raisins are optional. If you want to use them, be sure to dredge them in flour to prevent sinking.
