Banana Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 ripe bananas
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg, beaten
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/4 c. melted butter or margarine
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. pecans, broken (optional)
Preparation
    Mash bananas with a fork.
    Cream shortening, sugar and eggs. Add bananas and sifted flour with soda and salt.
    If desired, nuts may be added.
    Pour into buttered or greased loaf pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
