Rhubarb Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    2/3 c. liquid shortening
    1 egg
    1 c. sour milk
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    dash of nutmeg
    dash of allspice
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. diced fresh rhubarb
    1/2 c. nuts
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Cream together first four ingredients.
    Add sifted dry ingredients and vanilla.
    Add rhubarb and nuts.
    Pour into 2 loaf pans or 1 loaf cake pan.
    Top with sugar and butter.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
    Do not overbake.
    Very moist bread.
    Freezes well.
