Brown Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. all-bran
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. raisins
    1 tsp. dark Karo
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Mix all dry ingredients, then add Karo and buttermilk.
    Bake in ungreased No. 2 size cans for 1 hour at 350\u00b0; fill cans 2/3 full.
    Let cool for 30 minutes before turning out of cans.
    Cream cheese may be spread on the bread.
