Challah Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 pkg. active dry yeast
2 1/2 c. warm water (100~ to 110~)
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. light vegetable oil
2 tsp. salt
3 eggs
9 c. unbleached white flour (approximately)
1 large egg, beaten with 1 Tbsp. water (for glaze)
Preparation

Combine yeast and water in a large mixing bowl, stirring until dissolved.
Add the sugar, oil, salt and eggs.
Using a wooden spoon, beat in 3 cups flour to make a smooth batter.
Gradually add enough flour to make a soft, workable dough that pulls away from sides of the bowl.
Turn out onto a large, lightly floured surface and knead 8 to 10 minutes, adding more flour as needed.
