Mississippi Spoon Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. cornmeal
2 c. milk
3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 tsp. salt
3 eggs
additional butter
Preparation

Place cornmeal in a saucepan.
Gradually add milk, stirring until smooth.
Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat.
Add 3 tablespoons butter and salt, stirring until butter is melted.
Cool.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Pour batter into a well-greased 1 1/2-quart casserole.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 50 minutes.
Serve immediately with butter.
Yields 6 to 8 servings.
