Ingredients

2 3/4 c. flour
1 c. granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. butter
1 slightly beaten egg
1 tsp. almond extract
1/3 c. whole almonds
Preparation

Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
Make cookies into small balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Place whole almond on top of each cookie; press down to flatten.
Bake for 15 to 18 minutes.
Makes about 4 1/2 dozen.
