Brown Sugar Pound Cake With Pecans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks butter
    1 lb. brown sugar
    5 eggs
    1 c. sweet milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. pecans, chopped or crushed
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. white sugar
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. lemon flavoring
    1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Have butter, shortening and eggs at room temperature.
    Cream butter, shortening and sugars.
    Add eggs, one at a time.
    Mix baking powder and salt with
    flour and add alternately with milk. Add flavorings and nuts.
    Bake in a tube pan in a 325\u00b0 oven for 1 1/2 hours.
