Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. dairy sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. walnut halves or large pieces
Preparation

Combine both sugars and sour cream in a medium saucepan.
Cook over medium heat, stirring, until sugar is dissolved.
Continue cooking, without stirring, until temperature reaches 238\u00b0 or until a little dropped in cold water forms a soft ball.
Remove from heat.
Add vanilla and nuts.
Stir gently until all nuts are coated.
Turn onto wax paper.
With a fork, separate the nuts. Let dry.
Makes about 1 pound.
