Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
2/3 c. soft butter
1 c. molasses
1/2 c. water
2 c. whole wheat flour
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Cream the sugar and butter.
Add molasses and water to sugar mixture and mix well.
In separate bowl, combine all dry ingredients.
Add dry ingredients to the creamed mixture and stir until smooth.
Drop by tablespoonful onto nonstick cookie sheet.
Cook for 8 to 10 minutes.
Makes approximately 60 cookies.
