Ingredients

1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
2 1/2 Tbsp. margarine
1 Tbsp. ice water
1 egg, lightly beaten
vegetable cooking spray
1 egg white, beaten
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. sliced almonds
Preparation

Combine flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder and salt in large bowl.
Cut in chilled margarine with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal.
Stir in ice water and beaten egg.
Knead into a ball.
Press dough evenly into bottom of 9-inch square baking pan coated with vegetable spray.
Brush dough with beaten egg white.
Sprinkle glazed dough with 2 tablespoons sugar and sliced almonds.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 15 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
Cut into bars.
