Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or margarine
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 beaten egg
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. unsifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt (only if seeds are not salted)
1/2 tsp. soda
1 1/2 c. quick cooking rolled oats
1/2 c. sunflower seeds
Preparation

Blend first 3 ingredients well and add egg and vanilla.
Then add flour, salt, soda and oats.
When mixed well, add seeds, folding in carefully.
Chill a bit, then drop onto cookie sheet. Gently flatten out a bit with fingertips.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about ten minutes or until light brown.
Makes about 6 dozen.
