Gumdrop Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    shortening
    1/2 c. walnut pieces
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/3 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. tiny gumdrops
    3 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 egg
    1/3 c. cooking oil
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease a 9 x 5 x 3-inch pan.
    Cut gumdrops in half.
    Place them in a mixing bowl.
    Put walnuts in a plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin.
    Put crushed nuts in bowl with gumdrops.
    Add flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into mixing bowl.
    Stir until well mixed (set aside).
