Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1 c. margarine or butter
1 c. vegetable oil
1 egg
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. soda
1 c. crisp rice cereal
1 c. quick cooking oats
1 c. coconut
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Mix in the order given.
Shape dough into balls and place on baking sheet.
Dip a fork or glass bottom in granulated sugar, then use to flatten cookies.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes. This is a large recipe which will make about 100 cookies.
