Ingredients

2 1/2 c. butter (use the real stuff if you want the distinct taste)
2 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
6 c. flour
2 eggs
1 1/4 tsp. lemon flavor
Preparation

Cream butter, sugar, baking soda and salt until fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, to the mixture and whip until fluffy.
Add flavor.
Scrape sides of bowl.
Add flour just to bring together. This is a soft dough but not sticky.
Scoop on lightly greased pans.
Press down with sugar bowl dipped in sugar.
Bake 10 minutes at 375\u00b0.
