Ingredients

1 c. shortening
2 sticks margarine
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. cream of tartar
3 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
4 c. flour
Preparation

Cream together shortening, margarine, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add remaining dry ingredients and mix until smooth thick dough forms.
Divide into 4 sections, wrap in plastic wrap and chill for at least 2 hours.
