Lemon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 unbeaten eggs
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. shortening or stick margarine
    1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. lemon extract or grated rind of 1 lemon
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients.
    Pour into greased and floured loaf pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or 2 small loaves at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
    May be brushed with juice of lemon and/or sugar after baking.
