Irish Soda Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. flour
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. caraway seed
1 1/2 c. raisins
2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
Preparation

Sift first 4 ingredients; add raisins and caraway seed.
Stir well and add buttermilk to make a soft dough.
Add slightly beaten eggs, saving 1/2 tablespoon to brush the loaf.
Dough will be sticky.
Turn dough on well floured surface and knead 10 strokes. Shape into 2 loaves.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes, until golden brown.
Brush with eggs.
