Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. oatmeal
1/2 c. raisins or nuts (both if desired)
1/2 c. coconut
Preparation

Beat first five ingredients well.
Add dry ingredients.
Fold in raisins and/or nuts and coconut.
Bake at 375 for 10 minutes.
