Ingredients

3/4 c. granulated sugar
1 c. (2 sticks) margarine (see note)
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. butter flavoring
1 tsp. white vinegar
1 1/2 to 2 c. flour (see note)
Preparation

In a large mixing bowl, combine sugar, margarine and baking soda; beat with an electric mixer until well combined.
Add butter flavoring and vinegar; combine thoroughly.
While mixer is running, add flour, a little at a time, stopping mixer often to scrape down sides of bowl.
Mix until dough is creamy.
