Pineapple Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour, sifted
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. shortening, melted
1 (No. 1) can crushed pineapple (1 c.)
1 tsp. soda
Preparation

Combine dry ingredients in large bowl.
Add raisins and walnuts.
Combine egg, vanilla and melted shortening.
Add to other ingredients.
Dissolve soda in the undrained pineapple. Stir until just blended.
Pour batter in greased 8 x 4 x 4-inch loaf pan. Bake in a moderate oven at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until done.
Serve with cream cheese spread.
