Cut-Out Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. low-fat butter or margarine
    3/4 c. granulated sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 2/3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. quick oats (uncooked)
Preparation
    Cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla.
    Sift together flour and salt; add to creamed mixture.
    Blend well and stir in oats.
    Chill dough before rolling out.
    Roll out to 1/8 inch thick on floured board.
    Cut with cookie cutter.
    Place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 350\u00b0 about 10 to 12 minutes.
    Decorate with frosting. Yield:
    6 dozen cookies.

    One cookie = 1/2 fruit exchange, 1/2 fat exchange.
