Ingredients

2 c. brown sugar
pinch of salt
3/4 c. walnut meats
3/4 c. cream
2 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Dissolve sugar and cream.
Cook until soft ball stage when tested in water (cold).
Take from fire.
Add butter, nuts and flavoring.
Let cool.
Beat until creamy.
Press in buttered pan. Cut into squares.
