Caramel Layer Chocolate Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (14 oz.) pkg. light caramels
    2/3 c. evaporated milk
    1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
    3/4 c. margarine, melted
    1 c. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Melt caramels and blend with 1/3 cup milk.
    Beat together cake mix, margarine and 1/3 cup milk.
    Press half of cake mixture into greased 9 x 13-inch pan and bake for 6 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Spread chocolate chips over baked crust.
    Spread caramel mixture over chips, then rest of cake mixture.
    Bake 15 to 18 minutes at 350\u00b0. Cool and refrigerate to set caramels, then cut into squares. Serves 8.
