Ingredients

1 qt. walnuts
2 c. walnut halves
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. ground allspice
Preparation

Pour oil to depth of one inch in electric skillet.
Heat to 350\u00b0.
Bring water to boil in large saucepan.
Add walnuts, return to boil, boil one minute.
Drain walnuts well.
In large bowl, toss walnuts with sugar.
Place half the walnuts in hot oil, and deep fry for five minutes until walnuts are golden.
Remove walnuts with a slotted spoon and place on paper towel to drain.
Deep fry remaining walnuts.
When all walnuts are deep fried, return to large bowl and toss with cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice.
