Icebox Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. Crisco
    1/2 c. margarine
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 c. walnuts, finely chopped
Preparation
    Sift together flour, salt, soda and cream of tartar and set aside.
    In large mixing bowl, cream Crisco and margarine until light.
    Add sugar, eggs and vanilla.
    Beat until light and fluffy. At low speed, add half of flour mixture.
    Beat until smooth.
    Mix in the rest of the flour with hands.
    Add nuts.
