Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/3 c. shortening
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    4 Tbsp. milk
    1 1/2 c. baking powder
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 egg
    2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla.
    Add egg and beat; stir milk in.
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Blend into creamed mix.
    Divide in half.
    Chill 1 hour.
    Lightly flour a pastry board surface. Roll to 1/8-inch thick.
    Cut into desired shapes.
    Bake on a greased cookie sheet for 6 to 8 minutes at 375\u00b0.
