Cheese Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1 Tbsp. grated onion
    3/4 c. milk
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
    1 1/2 tsp. dried dill weed
    1 egg, lightly beaten
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Lightly grease a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
    Sift flour with baking powder, sugar and salt in large bowl. With 2 knives or pastry blender, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
    Stir in cheese, onion and dill.
    Mix well.
    Combine milk and beaten egg; pour into flour mixture all at once. Stir quickly with fork just to moisten flour mixture.
    Turn into prepared pan.
    Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.
