Date Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    1 c. nuts (in large pieces)
    1 c. dates (in large pieces)
    1 c. raisins or currants
    1 1/2 c. white sugar
    2 tsp. butter
    2 eggs
    3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over nuts, dates and raisins. Let cool. Mix remaining ingredients with water, dates and nuts.
    Bake in loaf pan about 1 to 1 1/4 hours at 350\u00b0. Makes 2 loaves.
