Fruit Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. soft margarine
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chopped dates
    1/2 c. chopped candied cherries
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Mix thoroughly margarine, sugar and eggs.
    Stir in buttermilk. Sift together flour, soda and salt.
    Add dates, cherries and pecans.
    Chill at least 1 hour.
    Drop rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto lightly greased baking sheet.
    Bake until set; when touched lightly, fingers leave no imprint.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
