Chocolate Molasses Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. solid shortening
    1/2 c. molasses
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. boiling water
    1 3/4 c. flour
    3 heaping Tbsp. cocoa
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening; add molasses.
    Dissolve soda in boiling water and add to molasses mixture.
    Mix flour with the cocoa and salt.
    The eggs should be beaten and added last with the vanilla.
    The flour-cocoa mixture can be added half at a time to the liquids and beaten in with a mixer, then add eggs.
    It will be very soupy.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 55 minutes.
    It bakes best in a small tube pan (6 1/2 x 3 1/2-inch), greased and bottom lined with waxed paper.
