Ingredients

3 c. all-purpose flour, sifted
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. molasses
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. vinegar
Preparation

Sift flour once; measure. Add baking soda, ginger and salt and sift together 3 times. Heat molasses. Add butter and stir until blended. Add vinegar. Add flour and blend well. Chill. Turn onto floured board. Roll 1/8-inch thick. Cut with large scalloped cutter. Place on ungreased baking sheet and sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 425\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes 2 dozen cookies.
