Ingredients

1 c. light brown sugar
1 c. butter or margarine
3 eggs
3 c. self-rising flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. candied cherries
1 c. candied pineapple
2 c. chopped dates
7 c. pecans
Preparation

Sift flour and soda together.
Cream sugar and butter.
Add eggs, one at a time, alternating with one cup flour.
Add fruit and nuts.
Batter will be stiff.
Drop by spoonful on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 300\u00b0 for approximately 15 minutes.
