Ingredients

1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. packed light brown sugar
1/4 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. vanilla
1/2 c. molasses
1 egg
3 c. flour
1/2 c. ground walnuts
1/2 Tbsp. baking soda
1/2 Tbsp. ginger
1/2 Tbsp. cardamom
1/2 Tbsp. cinnamon
1/2 Tbsp. allspice
Preparation

Mix softened butter, brown sugar, sugar, vanilla and molasses. Gradually add all other ingredients until dough is formed.
Wrap dough in plastic wrap.
Chill for 1 hour.
Divide dough in half. Roll to 1/8-inch thickness and shape with cutters.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
