Ingredients

2 c of ground pecans
2/3 c sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 unbeaten egg white
1/3 c plum preserves (may use any preserves)
18 maraschino cherries (cut in half)
Preparation

Combine pecans, sugar, and salt; add egg whites and mix until completely damp mixture.
Form into small balls; place on ungreased baking sheet.
Press hole in center of each ball; fill with preserves; Top with cherry (half).
Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
Cool completely before removing from pan.
