Ingredients

2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 Tbsp. milk
Preparation

Mix and sift sifted flour, baking powder and salt.
Cream butter until soft.
Beat in sugar, egg, vanilla and milk.
Add to flour mixture, mixing well.
Wrap the dough in foil or plastic wrap and chill thoroughly (30 minutes).
Place on lightly floured board and roll out to 1/8 inch thick.
Cut with cutter, dipped in flour, then place on an ungreased baking sheet.
Sprinkle with sugar and bake in 375\u00b0 oven about 10 minutes.
Makes about 4 to 5 dozen.
