Snickerdoodles(Cookies) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 2/3 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. ground cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix 1 tablespoon sugar and cinnamon in small bowl; set aside. Cream shortening; gradually add 1 1/2 cups sugar, beating well. Add eggs; beat well.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Sift together flour, soda, salt and cream of tartar in medium mixing bowl.
    Add to creamed mixture and mix well.
    Shape dough into 1-inch balls and roll in reserved sugar cinnamon mixture.
    Place 2 inches apart on lightly greased pans.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 6 minutes or until lightly browned.
    Cool on wire racks.
    Makes about 4 dozen.
