Ingredients

3/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. molasses
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 tsp. ground cloves
3/4 tsp. ginger
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Combine first 4 ingredients in serving bowl, mix together dry ingredients and add to first mixture.
Make 1-inch balls. Roll in granulated sugar.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
