Ingredients

1 c. margarine
1 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. almond extract
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Mix margarine, sugar, egg, vanilla and almond extract.
Blend in flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and vanilla.
Cover and chill dough 2 to 3 hours.
Divide dough in half.
Keep rest in refrigerator.
Roll out on lightly floured cloth or table.
Cut into desired shapes or use cookie cutters.
Transfer cookies to a lightly greased baking sheet.
Repeat with second half of dough. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 7 to 8 minutes.
