Ingredients

1/4 c. lard
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. finely chopped dates or nuts
1 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. milk
Preparation

Cream lard and peanut butter together.
Add sugar and cream until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition.
Add finely chopped dates or nuts and blend well.
Sift flour with baking powder.
Add to the creamed mixture alternately with milk; mix well.
Drop one at a time from teaspoon onto a greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
