Ingredients

1/2 c. softened butter
1/3 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 tsp. maple flavoring
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg white
whole pecans
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Cream butter, brown sugar and egg.
Add remaining ingredients except egg white and pecans.
Refrigerate. Place cluster of 3 pecan halves with points together on lightly greased cookie sheets.
Shape teaspoon of dough into small balls. Dip in egg white.
Place ball in center of pecans.
Flatten and bake 12 to 15 minutes.
Frost with chocolate frosting.
Makes about 3 dozen.
