German Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or oleo
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each egg.
    Blend in vanilla. Sift together flour, powder, soda and salt.
    Add to creamed mixture, blending well.
    Roll dough about 1/4-inch thick on lightly floured surface.
    Cut with floured 2-inch cookie cutter. Place 2-inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
    Cool on racks.
    Makes 6 dozen.
