Molasses Icebox Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. molasses
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    In a pan, heat molasses and shortening, stirring, on low heat. Remove and add sugar. Cool.
    Add unbeaten egg, stirring well. Add dry ingredients and mix well.
    Form in rolls and chill for 4 or 5 hours.
    Slice and bake in a 375\u00b0 oven.
