Fruit Cake Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. dates
    1/2 lb. candied cherries
    1/2 lb. candied pineapple
    4 c. pecans
    3 1/2 c. flour
    liquid (to make right consistency; small amount milk or juice)
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. oleo
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
Preparation
    Chop fruit and nuts. Place in a large bowl. Combine flour, soda, salt and cinnamon. Sift over fruit and stir to coat. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat well. Add to fruit mixture and mix well by hand. Use just enough milk or juice to make a stiff batter. (Be careful not to use too much.) Drop by teaspoons onto lightly oiled cookie sheet. Bake at 325\u00b0 for about 15 minutes. Do not overbake.
