1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
3/4 c. shortening or margarine
1 c. mashed banana
1 3/4 c. rolled oats
1 egg
1 (12 oz.) bag chocolate chips
nuts (optional)
Preparation

Mix all ingredients together, adding chips last.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes or until done.
