Ingredients

3 c. quick rolled oats
2 c. Baker's macaroon coconut
1/2 c. wheat germ
1 c. nuts
1 c. chopped dates
1/2 c. flour
1 envelope Knox gelatine or 1 Tbsp. plain gelatin
1/2 c. water
2 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. cocoa or 1 sq. Baker's chocolate
1 1/4 c. milk
1 stick oleo or butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. maple flavor
Preparation

Mix dates with 1/2 cup flour.
In cup, dissolve gelatine in water and set aside.
In a large bowl, combine oats, coconut, wheat germ, nuts and dates.
In saucepan mix sugar and cocoa.
Add milk and heat until sugar is dissolved.
Add oleo and bring to a boil (just until butter melts).
Add vanilla and maple flavoring.
Add softened gelatin.
Stir and cook about 1 minute.
