Caramel Layer Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (14 oz.) pkg. light caramels
    1/3 c. evaporated milk
    1 pkg. Pillsbury German chocolate cake mix
    3/4 c. melted butter
    1/3 c. evaporated milk
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. (1 c.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch pan. In heavy saucepan, cook caramels and milk over low heat, stirring constantly, until caramels are melted.
    Keep warm.
