Egg Bread Braid - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. all-purpose flour
    2 pkg. instant dry yeast
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. milk
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    3 eggs, beaten (reserve 1 Tbsp. for glaze)
Preparation
    In a mixer bowl, combine 2 cups flour, yeast, sugar and salt. Mix well.
    In saucepan, heat water, milk and shortening until warm.
    Add to flour mixture. Add eggs, blending at low speed, then beat 3 minutes at medium speed.
    Add flour to make a firm dough. Knead on floured surface until elastic, about 5 minutes.
    Place in greased bowl.
    Turn to grease top. Cover and let rise 1 hour.
