Ingredients

2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. light brown sugar, firmly packed
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Dough:
Cream butter; gradually add sugars.
Cream until light and fluffy.
Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
Sift flour, soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture, beating well after each addition.
